I just installed a new comp cam 270h in my 360. So far everything seems to be running ok. When you first start the engine and before it gets to normal running temp, it sounds great with a really nice lope at idle. As the temp gets up it seems to lose the hit at the same idle.
Does this mean I have not adjusted the carb correctly or is there something else I need to look at. I'm not one for ******* the crap out of it but I want it to sound cool as I'm tooling around town. <!-- / message -->

Don't know what hit means but the choke should be opening and letting things settle down to normal.
Cool. I have my timing set at about 10deg on my 428 with Comp 280H cam. As the other folks have said I would make sure that the choke is cutting off like it is supposed to. I would also play around with the air/fuel idle mixture ratio.

Do you mean that the "lope" disappears and you do not WANT it to disappear?
