I just installed a new comp cam 270h in my 360. So far everything seems to be running ok. When you first start the engine and before it gets to normal running temp, it sounds great with a really nice lope at idle. As the temp gets up it seems to lose the hit at the same idle.
Does this mean I have not adjusted the carb correctly or is there something else I need to look at. I'm not one for ******* the crap out of it but I want it to sound cool as I'm tooling around town. Before she gets warmed up..... She sounds coooool.
270 h isn't a really wild cam still it should have a little rough lope to the idle, take a can of brake or carb cleaner and spray it around the carb base and intake gaskets, if the idle goes up or smooth's out you just may have a vacuum leak
also when changing a cam re jetting of the carb properly is a most do. another possibility of being lean. which I suspect you may be dealing with.

I was wondering about the jets. I'm running the stock jets in the Holley 750. I believe they are 72s. Any idea which size I should try next?
