i am running a gm style pump from about 78 down or so and running a toyota gear box the proper one that fits the mid fifty kit ,, this is my second pump and after running for a while and turning stop to stop ,, still same thing , gota be pressure ???

Do a search on Toyota PS, there are several threads about changing out the pressure relief valve in a Saginaw pump.

I used a serpentine belt system on mine. Go to the junk yard and look for any sbc or 4.3 v6. Mine came from an early 90's s10 with a 4.3. Same accessories. Get the entire setup, bolts, spacers, washers etc. You'll have to use the reverse rotation water pump. With this system you get ps pump, alternator, and ac compressor. It takes up less space than a v belt setup and changing belts is very easy.
