FWIW I converted my front end w/ the SpynTec kit to in order to ditch the factory non-serviceable hub assembly on my E99 F250. I needed new bearings, 4wd hubs, ball joints & brakes when I bought my truck. Doing the work myself allowed me to spend what I would have on labor on the conversion parts instead. 20k miles on the kit so far in the last few months & very happy with it.
I am not familiar with the SpynTec kit you speak of. Help?

It's a fixed spindle conversion, similar to the Dynatrac, that replaces the sealed unit bearing with a serviceable bearing set that's spaced wider apart for strength & easily maintained by DIY. Also comes with 35 spline stub shafts & Mile Marker hubs to ditch those wonderful stock vacuum hubs. It's pricey, about $1,500, but it is stout!
I've been very happy with it, the design solves the issues I felt the front axle had, namely unit bearings, weak hubs & failure prone seals.
The directions with the kit left a bit to be desired, but there are good web writeups on the process, which I used.
Reps sent! Thanks for the info. I just dropped $1000 in parts and 4 days on a lift to repair my front end after grenading the right front hub needle bearing. At least now the truck doesn't start shuddering until 65-70mph (anything over 50mph before and it was dicey). I didn't even get to replace the hub or stub axle that got chewed up. At least it's part-time 4wd and full-floating so I can get by for a little bit to build the car jar back up to get the parts I need.
I'm at the end of my second set of hubs and capped off the vacuum lines years ago after 3 ESOF failures so I think this will be the way to go next go around. I always had my heart set on the Warn Premiums but I'm guessing the Mile Markers are still light years ahead of the OEM locking hubs. Saving $500 with the SpynTec over the Dynatrac is also appealing.
Thanks again for giving me a light at the end of this tunnel!
Too bad I only find out now after having spent over $1200 to fix the factory set-up.
Next time.
I'm right there with you...

I have a chatter on the right side when I go over bumps and I attribute it to the stub shaft. It sounds like a loose bracket but I've been under there several times and everything's tight.
