I have a 2000 PSD 4x4 F350 with 136K miles and need to change out the passenger side front hub. The dealer wants $385.00 + tax each side and the parts guy does not know if they come with studs or the 4 bolts on the back side. I have looked at the on-line cataloges but cannot find these. Are the hubs only a dealer supplied item? If not who can I contact to get one? This truck has 4 wheel antilocking brakes. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like you're talking about a hub and bearing assembly for the wheel, right? It will come with wheel studs and the ABS sensor. You should also buy an o-ring F81Z 4A322-AA, and if you want new studs in the back (advisable) you need 4 each of F81Z 1107-AA studs, and F81Z 1120-AA nuts.
I don't think the hubs come with the mounting studs and nuts but should have wheel studs. $385 sounds high considering you can get a whole front end kit (both side) with hubs, studs, bolts, ball joints and seals for $788 from powerstrokeshop. I have ordered a bunch of parts from them over the last year and always found their prices good and customer service great.
Rudy F6 yes it is the hub and bearing assembly I need, thanks for clearification.
Monster-4 thanks for the link, I will get in contact powerstrokeshop.com and see if I can get just the hub and wheel assembly, etc. the ball joints are in good condition still, were changed out at 75K. Again, thank for the response.
