I'm going to be tackling my wheel bearing's, seals, and ball joints this weekend. I was looking for a write up on how to remove a 87-88 f 150's hubs, I see a few for all other years but none on this style hub. I know the 87-88 have a different style then all the other ttb's. Does anyone know of a good write up or what the differences are in removing them? This is pretty new to me so any help would be appreciated.

Do an advanced search for "flange hubs" and have a look through all the info.

 

sounds like a good time to convert to the common style hubs to me

 

Take the wheel off and then slide the flange hub off the studs, if its like the little bronco/ranger it'll likely be stuck in the wheel!

You see the wheel bearing at that point, It comes off all in one piece, no surprises (unless its damaged) you won't disassemble the lockout.
