Although fairly generic, the pics are for an FE, so I hope it helps:

so with that picture and looking at the intake manifold, does the temp sensor go onto of that plug?

I originally answered this, but now I have deleted the answer as well as the Photobucket pic which shows the answer. I spent a fair amount of time looking up the pictures, scanning them, uploading them to my Photobucket account and then answering your original question. All for you.

If you had then gone out, opened the hood and looked, I'm sure you would have had the answer, but instead you asked a second question which I just can't believe you asked.

Hopefully for you, someone else will now take over and answer your questions. I won't.

Sidenote: I belong to many forums, concerning many different hobbies, and I think this is the first time I have ever been really annoyed trying to help some one.

okay i am sorry that i made you mad by asking the second question. I just see in the diagram that it show the sensor doesn't show where it goes. I just is on the diagram.

But hey I apologize and I will figure it out. Thank you for your help you have been wonderful by putting up that diagram. And I Appreciate it

OK. Here's the same pic, but with some red lines showing where the plugs and sensor go. Please take a look, then look under your hood. (hint: sensors have a wire (or tube) coming from them). If you still have a problem, then please come back and ask. I'll be happy to help.

Now for too much information.... I've had green apple quickstep all week and am not in a good mood, so please have patience.

Reps for your illustration and follow up. I know the feeling--I had a shingles attack inside my throat. Good way to drop 20 lbs in 3 weeks. I was put on anti-biotics, anti-viril and steroids. Delightful side effects, including "'roid rage". I feel your pain.

To the OP, just a warning, if you ever need to pull that manifold, get a crane or you will be on here discussing your broken back.....

Oh John I know the feeling my friend...But it happens more often than not..It was the same way with my Son..At about age 13 he would ask me a question..and I would hand him the Motors manual...then have him read chapter after chapter..then have him tell me how he would go about fixing the problem, If I heard what I wanted to hear..He was on his own..unless he needed somemore hands..Now he and my Grandson are both mechanics by trade.. Good Job Buddy ! glad you didnt give up on the newbie..
