2005 Ex dash replacement question

Hi all....
I'm looking at some nice wood grain dash bezels from F250/350s & am wondering about direct replacement.
I've searched the forum & don't seem to find a definitive answer. There are several like
http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-07-05-07-F250-F350-DASH-RADIO-BEZEL-TRIM-PANEL-WOOD-GRAIN-/151126103727?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item232fd156af&vxp=mtr
I see only minor differences like three buttons just to the right of the steering column opening but these could simply be abandoned.
My confusion lies with several posts here talking about trim levels and super duty vs. king ranch vs. Excursion.

Does anyone know a definitive answer on what would be a direct replacement? How about an aftermarket? I have a 2005 4x4 Limited.

Thanks very much for your help!!
Dave

I think it will technically bolt right on but the stereo may be slightly different. You also have the pedal controls to either move or abandon.

the excursion interior is exactly the same as 99-04 superdutys make sure you choose those years as 2005 saw some dash changes, suspension, wheels and brake changes. only for f series though
trim level just changes the colour scheme and maybe some writing like excursion or king ranch over the power point. harley davidson was a fully black "carbon fiber" imitation dash style

Guys, the Excursion dash bezel is very similar, but still different than the F250/350 dash bezel.

The biggest difference I can think of is this:

That's my old F250. Where the DP-Tuner F5 is mounted, that part on an Excursion is curved a lot more than the trucks are. The trucks are basically flat, Excursions, not so much.

Ah hah! Thanks guys!
Now that I'm looking for 99-2004, I can see some slight differences in the 2005 dash designs.
Naturally, there are a dozen on ebay but only for 2005 & up. All of the 2004 and older are the basic dash bezels like I have, no wood grain!

I'll keep looking.

Thanks again!

I just found this thread and will be adding it to the Tech Folder thread. You might be interested in this '05 - '07 dash installed on an Excursion how-to thread.

WOW, my '05 dash bezel is all Black vs. that grayish color.
I have an early '05 so perhaps I have '04 parts there too...

Reminds me of my '97 Tahoe, I ordered before the MY started. So, I got lots of '96 pieces mixed in which was a PITA when the body shop had to repair some damage.

Stewart, I read that thread in it's entirety yesterday. I have way too many damn projects to get into that!

Living large, I just found the manufacturer for the one you posted. http://www.wooddash.com/category/FOR...Kits_EXCURSION
Pricey at $400 but that includes all door trim & misc things that I already have. I'll call & see if they sell just the dash itself.
Thanks
