Excursion v and b code spring upgrade local to dfw

I'm looking for someone local that has completed the spring upgrade on a 4 wheel drive excursion. I'm located in the dfw area. I would like to talk with you about your opinion on the swap and ride in the vehicle before doing the upgrades to my 2003. If you are local and can spare a little time please contact me. I spoke with Carey Towery about this upgrade, but he did not know anyone local. Stated everybody is happy with the upgrade. I do not want to sink a couple of thousand into my vehicle if the changers are not that significant.

Cary knows his stuff and he's a benefit to the Excursion community.

Lemme ask you this, why did you contact him? Are you having issues with your Ex?

If there are no issues, and you are just looking to modify and upgrade, what is your ultimate goal with your Ex?

Stuart thanks for the reply. Just to verify, I was in no way saying Cary does not know his products. He has sent me a list of things that would improve the ex. However, this being my first ex, I would like to see the difference these upgrades make. My ex has a 4" lift and with dual cst shocks in front and single cst in rear. I'm not mechanically inclined, so that's the extent I can tell you. For the ride, it does not wander down the road. There is very little play in the wheel. Pulls straight and when the road is smooth it is smooth. When the road is rough it sounds like the excursion is coming apart. I have 92k miles on this excursion and I plan on having it for a long time, so If I could feel the difference in one that had the upgrades that I mentioned it would be helpful.

Ahhhh, now it becomes clear.

Yes, based on what you described regarding your Ex and how it rides when on a rough road, the difference between what you have now, and what the Ex would feel like with the modifications you listed above, the Ex with the mods would ride like a caddy, comparatively speaking.

I didn't take it that way, so no worries.

Stuart thanks for the reply.
Hmmm, every time I see that happen, I wonder if my user name or the way I sign my posts is unclear.
