Shocks!

Finishing the final details for my suspension so I can place the order on the 1st.

Front:
Custom AAL up front for a total of 3" total lift from original height. I've read that I can use OEM length F-250 shocks....true?

I will also be running a dual shock setup up front. Needed? Probably not, but it looks cool and might help some of the body roll.

Rear:
Custom "F" Codes already installed that gave me about 2" lift. I've read that the factory length Excursion shocks can fit that just fine...true?
Sorry for the questions. I know they've been answered before, but as we all know, you can skin the suspension on a X any way you want.

not sure on the fronts, but i know you could go with 250/350 shocks and prolly be OK since with X-codes they sat pretty high.

i'm still putting shocks off...but i cant much longer the front end needs a whole lotta new parts. i'm going to go with KYB's as i've had great luck with them in the past.

Yes, if they're Bilsteins.

anyone else about the fronts? I'm going to get the F-250 spec Monroe shocks. x4 and want to make sure they're good to go.

the F-250 spec'd shocks are 1" taller extended vs the X spec'd shocks.

the rears on the F-250 and the Excursion are identical. same part #'s specified

the X has a 1" shorter shock spec'd out vs. the F-250

The mounts are different at the top of the shock, so if they have identical part numbers, then the shocks must come with the cross-bar doohicky thing that must be used if installing on an Ex.

I've Run into that before on another rig. The expectation was that you reused the crossbar from old shocks and slid into eyelet of new shock

Haven't climbed under and looked yet, but I'm hoping to see the same

which monroe is that? I think they have a couple different types.
I currently have the reflexes but I think they';re done
When I come to a sudden stop it's way to bouncy for my liking.
Shouldn't have any bounce, right? Just veer back from the compression and done...
I'm getting the other monroes, forgot the name.
mine is 2wd

Whatever the base F20 shock is. I've never been able to feel a difference between expensive and cheap shocks besides lighter wallet.

Rock Auto has them for $19 each with free shipping. Even after I pay the $75 they want for shipping to Hawaii, Ill still come out $50 cheaper than buying them locally.
