new shocks

I have what appears to be an 8" Sky Jacker lift on my F250. I want to replace the shocks and need to know if I have to use sky jacker shocks or are other brands interchangeable with their lift. Who do ya'll recommend - I've been looking at Tough Country.

You can pick any brand of shock that supports the 8 inch lift. Lots of folk have gone to the Rancho adjustable shocks.

Basically any quality shock absorber will do.

Right, as long as they have enough lenght they will work. I am partial to bilsteins myself.

Thanks for the help. I'll confess to being a newbie to shocks - what are the advantages of an adjustable shock like the Rancho? When or under what conditions would I adjust the shock?

The 9000 series has **** or air compressor that adjust the compression of the shock. I don't know if they also do rebound. I has 9000s on my last truck, I liked #2 for cruising and on washboard roads or fields I would dial up to #5, but they only went to 5 back then.
