So sometimes my 98 F-250 is making a screeching noise I believe is coming from the front end at lower speeds. Kinda like nails on a chalk board screeching noise, but it comes and goes at random. Front brakes are only a year old, pads and rotors so I'm doubtful thats it. I've also done a bunch of other front end work this summer but the noise has been there before any of that. I know the serpentine belt squeeks sometimes too, but its new and I haven't dove into that problem much yet.

1st thought was a brake pad gone bad. Like a pad has broken loose from where it is "suppose" to be.
Might be wise to remove the serpentine belt ( engine off) and spin individual components by hand of which the belt drives and see if you can get the noise to repeat.
With belt off... maybe take a short drive & see if the noise come back...if not...then it prolly is part of the belt system and needs closer look...if it does...then it prolly part of the front end like the 1st thought above or wheel bearing or such.
Maybe you just got something stuck under there and need to be removed
??? Does it do it with the motor running , truck standing still ?? DO you have to be moving ? What happens when you push on the brake ? Turn the motor off and coast down the road, still hear it ?? Cant be the brakes if your not moving, and cant the belt if motor is off .
