My fleet gets well over 100k on the original belts. but that happens in about three years. I think age may be as important as mileage.I put a new one on my 03 at 40k andput the used one under the seat.
Cheap insurance for my personal ride.
spin all the pulleys and make sure its not them that makes the noise.

Mine was making noise too, but I changed the idler and tensioner pulleys because they were making noise, not the belt.
"Bucket of crickets" I called it
Is it squeeling? Or just squeaking? If it's just squeaking, take a piece of hose with one end to your ear, and hunt around for the noise with the other end.
