Most all, if not all, '73-'76 F-250 Highboys had full time 4x4. And I know that many have been converted to part time 4x4 but has any one converted one back to full time? When I was in high school, many years ago, I had a '76 with full time and I'm wanting to have another one. I have found close by that has been converted to part time with lock out hubs and all but I'm interested in finding the parts to convert it back. If I remember right there is a splined coupling that splines to the outer axle shaft that also bolts to the hub. There was a snap ring on the outer end of the shaft and then a small dust cap to cover it all up. Where would I find these parts? Are there any viewers to this site that might still have these laying around from doing a conversion?
Also, was there anything done to the np203 transfer case to make it part time? I would also have to convert that back.
I'm sure some will think I'm crazy for going back to ful time but that was the best 4x4 I have ever owned and would like to keep things somewhat original.
Thank you Montana,
Do those work with the drum brake hubs {prior to '76} and the disc brake hubs?
The truck I'm looking at is a '76 with the disc brakes.
i would say most were part time vs full time. at least the 8 of them me and my buddy have had only one has a 203. but any way im currently debating weather or not to swap it out on that truck for a 205. if i do keep the 203 and swap out my front drum axle for a later disc, does anyone know if the factoy "drive flanges" on the drum axle will work inplace of the lock outs on the later axle?

Too bad you are not closer to me dsl.... I just got a 76 F250 with a np203 that I want to put a np205 in. We could have just switched our drivelines with each other . Which tranny are you running?
