So I installed the blue spring like 1.5 years ago and my fuel pressure has been somewhere between 65 to 70 at idle. The last week or so it has gone to 70 to 75 at idle. I have an extra sending unit so I swapped it out and got the same reading, how concerned should I be? Should I order another blue spring kit and change it again? As always thanks for the help and suggestions
Found this on another post when someone asked about this...
First, check the return line for kinks. Then you should remove the filter cap and check the inside of the filter housing to make sure there is nothing inside blocking the relief port. A small piece of o-ring, foreign object, or filter material is all it would take to run up the fuel pressure. if it is clear then just remove the regulator cover and check the relief valve itself (the brass plug on the spring) for freedom of movement in its socket, and check for debris in the socket and the return line port. I would think you would not need a new kit. The cover o-ring should reseal.

I was able to take a look at the truck this morning, checked all that was mentioned above and replaced the fuel filters. Fuel pressure is still sitting between 70 and 75 at idle.
Whats a decent mechanical gauge I could use to make sure it isnt the actual gauge or wiring problem.

TJK1....have you tried to hook up a standard pressure gauge (Advance Auto, Harbor Freight)...to the fuel test port?
No I have not, can it be any regular gauge they have or do I need to look for a specific one
I have a simple Actron from Advance that has multiple fittings ....I've not used on this truck, but one of those should work. Plus you will have a new tool for your arsenal.
Just went and grabbed a mechanical gauge from harbor freight. My glowshift gauge in the cab is saying 72 psi and the mechanical gauge is saying 64. So is there anyway to determine if its the gauge or the wiring thats the problem or should I just cough up the cash and get a new gauge. At least it's the gauge and not a real issue with fuel pressure
