Help with a PCM

Hi the names ryan. I'm trying to help my father in law fix one of his work trucks. A Ford f250 diesel 7.3 year 95. I was told it needs a new PCM and i just have no idea where to find one. Just wondering if anyone on here would know where to find one. Thank you very much.

If it indeed does need one, car-part.com is where you can find them the easiest.

ThAts not a PCM issue. That sound more like a under valve cover wiring harness.

At the very least, that's WAAAAY too little info to conclude that it's the PCM. Doesn't necessarily mean it's _not_ the PCM, just a bit of a leap. No codes? So the truck runs? Was a buzz test and/or a cylinder contribution test done? As mentioned, was the UVCH wiring tested/inspected? If whoever made this diagnosis can't answer these questions specifically, someone else will have to look at the truck.

Edit - it may be instructive to disconnect each UVCH, one at a time, and run the truck briefly. See if (1) one of the disconnects does _not_ have an effect on how the truck runs (they all should), and (2) if disconnecting one makes the white smoke go away. The smoke might indicate that indeed the injectors on that connection are getting the signal to fire (which would indicate IDM and PCM both GOOD), but the injector itself is either not atomizing the fuel properly, or there's a compression problem in one of those two cylinders.
