At idle it sounds like marbles in a coffee can. Or a steady leak out of the bellhousing. Or a slip error code. Or the front of the converter gets blued. Or the truck gets REALLY doggy off the line.
I have none of those symptoms but everybody says its my torque converter. My trucks shimmying at half throttle and can be felt in floorboard, pedal itself and rear of truck

Everybody doesn't know what they are talking about. Most likely it is the only part they know the name of, so that must be the problem.
You either have a problem with a ujoint, carrier bearing (if your truck has one) or a rear tire. It isn't the torque converter.
Described my problem to a transmission mechanic and he said it sounds like a froze u-joint but is gonna drive my truck tomorrow to maybe rule out transmission. I just replaced the carrier bearing, tires and tps. I replaced ujoints about a year ago. Hopefully it's an easy and cheap fix
