I oriignally had Timbrens and air bags as well. My frame stays on the truck so the added stiffness of the f250 springs kind of evens out with not that much of a harder ride. Now if you take the frame off then staying stock may give you a better ride.
Also the f150 frame is not the same as a f250/350. I have a Meyer's poly plow on my 90 Bronco with a 5.0 and a 5 spd. It plows nice for me as I use the low gears when plowing. Not very concerned about how fast I plow the snow so with 2nd gear low it does a marvelous job. I did add F250 front springs to my bronco to help with the extra weight. If you go with a steel blade you need to start with a F250 or an f150 with the f250 springs...
The meyer poly plows are actually heavier than steel.
Guy from Meyer called back today. He said what I have on the 86 now (EZ Classic) will fit 1984-1991 F150 and F250. Does that jive with what you guys know?

Sounds about right. That guy should know exactly what every model fits.
The Meyer web site has a tool that tells you what you need to swap a plow from truck A to B, if you want to confirm what he told you.
Yeah...I tried that. For some reason it would not work. I even tried to go from a 1986 F150 to a 1987 F150 and the tool told me it would not swap. That's why I called...
Brad had the years right, but I was surprised that it would fit a F250 from those years also.

Are you sure about that? For the same size steel to weigh less then the poly? I know that I can man handle the poly on my own when its not on the dollies. I have a smaller steel 6.5 Ft meyer plow for a jeep that seems to be heavier to me..
