Anyone here use their truck to plow snow? I have a 2000 extended cab with an 8 foot bed. The dealer told me that ford didnt recomend plowing with this truck because of the weight of the diesel and the extended cab. I got an 8 foot Curtis plow anyway. I dont use it to plow the expressway but use it for a few back roads and parking lots. Why would their be a problem because of the extended cab? I had helpers put on the rear for when I carry my slide in camper. Should I add a leaf to the front also. It seems to work fine although when diving with the plow raised the front end does sag some. The truck is a beast in the snow It feels like nothing can stop it. I can push all day long through some really high drifts

Firestone Ride Rite air bags are the ticket for when you have your plow on.
Run 10 pounds in them all the time, when you put your plow on run about 70 in them.
Takes about 3 hours to install them, cost about 300 dollar.
I have had mine for 5 years now, I love them.
Know where you are plowing, I have seen two plows and one truck totaled by unexpected curbs.
