5100s have the stainless outer tubes...which, if you live where I do is important for the visuals. These wont turn brown after a few years like the painted tubes will.

well....ditto on the stock shocks being 5000 wantabee's. becarefull on ordering rancho 9000 shocks. there are different lenths with different models intended to be installed in trucks with different lifts...and don't be fooled by the thought that you truck is stock and is at 0 lift....my 2005 has front f-350 springs and rear f-350 shackle blocks so it sits higher, needinga longer shock. best bet is to measure your unloaded lenths and look up the shock options and pick a shock in which your unloaded lent would put you at 3/5th's shock compression. gives you 3/5ths additional compress travel and 2/5th possilbe expand travel.
