I'm looking for a bellhousing and a three speed column shift transmission to bolt up to a 240. What are the casting numbers or part numbers for both? It is going in a 1965 f100 the engine I have is a 1971 240 manual. Thanks in advance
Thanks Bill, do I need to stick to a 71 bell as you indicate in the casting of "D1" ? Will a C5 through D0 - 4 fit this motor? I will be heading to the local parts yards trying to locate one.
Also the trans, What is the correct output shaft length? Or part numbers?

There's waaay too many variables to list output shaft lengths/part numbers. I need the TRANS ID tag code number to list this info.
1971 bell replaced 1965 bell, so based on the applications and the ID numbers marked on the parts, any 1965/74 240 or 1965/79 300 bell will work.
Wanna know the output shaft (7061) lengths/part numbers? Here's the 3.03 shafts listed for 1964/72 F100/250 & Econoline.
See if you can figure out which one would be correct. Lotsa luck, cuz without the trans code, it'll be like searching for 1 needle in 10 haystacks!
