spark plug overheating

spark plug overheating

I used Champion plugs they show sign of over heating. Slightly melted electroids and a dark spot on the ceramic. Is this because it's not a oem plug. The plugs had the correct part number, I recheck with Champion. I also checked with other parts stores.

Check your timing. Is this the 93? There is a special procedure to check it if you do not know how. Have you pulled any codes? You might have a EGR problem which could cause this also.
