Which spark plug gap?

Replacing the plugs in my wife's Windstar. Autolite says the plug gap is .044. The underhood decal says .052 - .056. I am inclined to go with the decal spec. Any opinions or advice on that?
Thanks.

I'd go with the sticker - assuming you are replacing with the same type plug
(fine wire platinum I think it is?)
But, then again, those plugs are come already set to proper gap.

The original single platinums are coming out and double platinums are going in.
