Part #7989 Champion. I put a set in about 76,000 miles ago and had one go out this week. It was quiet worn and had a red-gray glaze. All were worn more than the Motorcrafts that I replaced in '08 @ 71,000. But I removed all of them with NO broken plugs. I put in a set of E3.70 plugs. I hope this isn't a mistake but they are a one piece plug also.
Be sure to update on how the E3 plugs work for you. I am curious to know. I run them in all my outdoor power equipment but due to past experiences I am paranoid to run anything but OEM plugs in a vehicle.
So far the E3's run smooth. I don't have many miles on them but mileage seems a little better. But being the old plugs were worn out any plug should have increased the mileage. I may pull an easily accessible plug in a month or so to look at the tip.

Reason: speeling
Some of the 11-16 trucks were like that also, single platinum plugs up top and fine wire double platinum on the lowers. My 13 had all fine wire plugs when I changed them at 85K.
I have run 7989 for years after the first fiasco with mc . It is double platinum and they don't break . Sp 546 mc should be good but why should I go back to mc now . I missed the other bad mc plugs but it was a close call I have a box of sp515s which I would never use . I should give them away .But I would feel bad giving a iffy plug set to someone
E3's are a real gamble .
