A LOT of work on trucks. Mine has got new Edelbrock 750 carb, front and rear sway bars, front lifted 1.5" and a bunch of small random crap. My buddy bought a 74 Highboy and we have done carb, swapped rear axle, stripped interior to prep and undercoat inside, brake master, tore out all PO installed extra wires to nowhere. Another friend bought a VERY clean 73 F-100 that I inspected for him and have done radius arm bushings, motor mounts, tune up, points eliminator, cowl pocket cleaning.
Other than that and setting up the new shop while working in it I have parts waiting for my truck, poly bushings, Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake controller, tilt column that I need to rebuild, cruise control, AC dash that I'm modifying, sheet metal ect ect ect
Working on getting the 2008 and up tailgate on, switched to a excursion grill i got free, washed it, Took the boy to ride his minibike, trying to get my honda civic projects done as well.
You know Jameson, I've actually been thinking about selling my bug. It's beggining to be too much of a project for me. I've been kind of looking for a crown Vic to trade or sell the bug and purchase that.
It did and still does have a lot of rust... It is way too much work for me right now with the bronco too. The beetle is now just sitting there collecting spider webs. I got'er up and running, now someone needs to restore it. Sean my asking price is going to be crazy, just so you know .
The P71's are what I'm looking for. I've heard of an auction place in Pacific that sells their old police cruisers for cheap but they aren't on the internet. I haven't gone to investigate yet.
Down with the VW, be happy you're not paying someone to drag it out of your driveway. Dated a woman that had a newer Beetle and that POS was in the shop more than she drove it, the day it got totalled from some one rear-ending her was the best day of our relationship. lol
A newer vw as in the late 90s ones? Those are much worse than the beetle I have. Mines a 71, if someone who knows them well owned it, they can keep it going for a long time. I am not really one of those people. I like them all the same but at this point an time I just can't keep it. The bronco is a big enough project for me plus I'm just getting into life, I'll have rent to pay once I'm 21 so a second project doesn't really work out.
