Headlights

For those that have run the OEM housings and switched to the diamond clear housings.....When it comes to light performance, which ones did better with just stock halogens in them? I know some like the OE look better than the clear and some are the other way around, i could honestly care less as long as i am getting quality light output. I have heard some report that the clears get some hot spots in the pattern...is that anything that would sway you decision in going OEM's vs clears?

Thanks for any and all input!

Clear works well

I got the clear housings from LMC, and like them.

I also put in LMC's headlight relay kit at the same time. No wire cutting, the only connection that isn't a plug is to battery positive (and maybe a ground connection- I forget). Advantage is that the headlight and high beam switches, circuits, and stock wiring only carry low current to switch the solenoids, not the full 10 amps of the headlights (or higher current if you have aftermarket higher-power bulbs). You can pick up components for a relay system cheaper, but you have to assemble the relay system and cut the factory wiring.
