Tailgate Window Stopped Working Again?

So my 1991 bronco is having problems with the tailgate window again. It had stopped working for a while, so I replaced the motor. Then the window worked for 3 days but it stopped and now its stuck. I've tried both the keyhole and the switch so it's not that. Could it possibly just be that I need to grease the motor with some wd40 because the gears locked up or could it be something more complicated?

Have you tried the key while pushing the tailgate to be sure the safety switch is engaging? Are the plastic bushings on the striker bolts good?
