I have a 97 ford f350 / 7.3 /Dually /4door truck.
It has a e4od.
I have a friend who is giving me a trans cooler for free. It is this one here. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hda-516

My truck has a small tran cooler (Top left *looking at the engine* attached to radiator ) Can I just remove the one that is there and install this one?

The factory ones are really way to small! The one that came on mine amazed me as to its size...


And this is the aftermarket large size I went with... Well worth the few extra bucks!

Iv been sick and to top it off my mother in law just took my wife to the ER. They think she might be going into labor and I have to stay with my boy.

 

I put a 6.0 trans cooler in mine but it was a real challenge getting it to fit.

In my 96 I put a hayden in and it wasn't enough so I added a true cool.

I plain to do some hauling with my truck but nothing to big.
I know during xmass I gotta take my brother his 2000 ford excursion that i got him as a gift.

 

The sky scrapper is in my signature picture. No problems with trans getting hot so far. LOL
