Usually the dealers are cheaper than the obsolete parts vendors, cuz they're STUCK with the parts, as they cannot be returned to FoMoCo for credit.

Not sure how bad your circuit board is but I have repaired opens on other clusters. I'am assume ford is the same with copper traces under the membrane.
You will need to get a wiring diagram, ohm meter, soldering gun, solder and small stranded copper wire. (Like phone cable wire). Check your board according to diagram using your meter. When you find an open scrape the plastic off both the of the open ends to expose the copper trace. Solder in a jumper wire to close the opening. You can use electrical tape or rubber cement glue to hold down wire if it's a long run.
