Going to look at an possibly buy a 68 short bed Ranger here in a few. He is asking 3500 but I hope I can get it for a bit cheaper than that. I shall keep you posted.
I did not buy the truck even though I really liked it. The problem was with the seller. I caught him in a lie and he refused to budge on his asking price and kept reminding me of things I already knew about Ford F100's in his attempts to sell me the truck. I must admit that him stating that "this aint my first rodeo" and "you must be dreaming" turned me off big time. When I spoke to him on the phone he claimed he did not know anything about Ford trucks but today he sure sounded like an expert to me lol. He also had two 1967 Camaros that he was just letting the rain take care of sitting on his lot. He said, "I don't like that model of Camaro much". Needless to say I walked away from this man with my pocket full of cash and I will keep looking
I want a 67-72 short bed that I can work on myself so I am not looking for a show truck or one that somebody has butchered. I have been looking for a while now so I am also pretty picky and can smell a pile of horse manure from two miles away. That goes for the truck and especially for the owner.
I used to own a 1971 F100 and have missed it ever since the ex wife made me sell it...yes she is an EX.

Hey, I am very close to Acworth. I live in Dallas! I would love to see this truck in person. I read the other thread, did they ever decide if it was a 68-69?

On my page, under the contact info. Although you may not have enough posts to do so. In that case leave me your email address in a message on my page, and I will delete the post once I have copied it down.
Yeah it did not give me that option, I must not have enough posts yet. I sent you a facebook message. You may have to check the "other" folder to see it.

mate, that's not good, can't stand people that mess you around & selling a car or truck is all about haggling, I'm learning a lot as I go along with my truck but there a few things a friend of mine is doing, phase 1, '94 Jag xj6 IFS, flip rear axle for now. phase 2, rebuild Buick 231 V6, 230hp ... and install Jag IRS, phase 3 body work over time, this has to be done in lots of short bites as it will be my daily driver as my last one was totalled and I'm recovering from a compression Fracture in my spine so can't do much at the moment.
I bought my truck for fun 2 years after my became an ex
good luck with finding what you want & look forward to updates.
Thanks Rich, and sorry to hear about your injuries. It sounds like you have an interesting project going on with your truck I will be sure to stay tuned
I'm over here in Douglasville and saw that blue on on craigslist. I think it was a 69 ranger. Was that the one? I looks nice in the photos and he also has it on ebay. I bought mine two weeks ago in Marietta. It was the green 68 that was on craigslist. I had no intentions of buying a truck but that one stood out. Anyway, I've kept my eyes open to see if I got a good deal or not and there is a shortage of shortbeds out there. I'll pass along anything I see. Good luck. I know what you mean about bs sellers. It irks me and I too have passed on cars mostly cause of the owner.
