Question for NJ Excursion owners

I am looking at some Excursions. While I would like an 02 or early 03 7.3, I might have to settle for an 05 6.0. If I do buy a 6.0 I want to do an EGR delete. On my 06 F250 Im classified as a self inspect based on the GVW, thus no MV inspection making it easier to do an EGR delete. Do Excursions have the same classification in NJ? If not, have you had a problem with inspection?

They fall under the same classification as long as they are diesel powered. While the V10 powered Ex's fall into the weight category, the gas engine makes it mandatory for state inspection.

No inspection for diesel over 8501 lb gvwr
Thought anything over 10,000lb gvwr was exempt too, but this says only diesel...
