Happy Thursday nor cali friends, sounds like you mite be driving a tow truck jim, Does this mean you can rescue use when or if we brake down of course with a small fee lol how did some of the auction trucks look to ya?
I will be around for alittle tomarrow have to head into Livermore and problem solve . I'm home today running Irrigation if your coming today give me a call I can help you crawl around looking at that bad boy
If I do buy the tow truck, I would be willing to help anyone who needs it. Under the table of course. However, most of the members are too far away for me to be of any real use, unless they break down at a gtg. And if I have to pay $2,664 a year for insurance on this thing, I better get a business license so I can flip as many cars as possible to offset that bill. Not too mention the added expense of the diesel it will drink.
I only viewed the trucks at the Parlier site, have not checked out the Merced lot yet. Parlier has two tow trucks I would be interested in, but the problem with auctions is you never know what the cost will be until the auction is over. And you pay for it that day, which means I would be carrying several thousand dollars in my pocket. Still, if I can get one cheap, it would be worth it.
Scott, if you are available on Saturday when I go up to Hayward, I can stop by and pick you up. Let me know. Someone has to drive the El Camino home LOL.

Suppose to have a kids party, Please pick me up LOL, Step daughter invited her self and my house with out asking , I will help anyway .( if needed) I need a brake.
Good to know. I will call you if I do go up, and again when I get close to your place. Checked my bank balance today, and it says the funds are available, but then it also says there is still a hold on the deposit. So I will wait until tomorrow before trying to withdraw any of it. Just to be safe.
Well got a physical tomaro and if I pas I start Monday it a sesnional job seven days a week for three mounths hopfully buy the Time it done Jim u have ur car filling shop up and runing
Sounds good Joe, I hope you can make it. Wow, 7 days a week for 3 months? That is going to be hard to do. Hope you can survive. I'll need you to install the turbo, and intercooler on my IDI when you are done. Going to have to look for a Gear Vendors overdrive unit too. Since the C6 only has 3 speeds.
Yea that a wise choice c6 it built end proof and cheap to have built up turbos are esy to as there a bolt on the inter cooler will require some basic fab work but not much I'm hoping to survive two I'm hoping for night shift cause it cooler. And TGIF
Happy Friday!!! TGIF and all that BS!! Hope everyone has a great day, and even better weekend. I know I will because the hold has been lifted! Now, I just have to decide which tow truck to get, or which crew cab dually/trailer to get. LOL. The guy with the burgundy tow truck emailed me early thisw morning, wants me to call him after 10am. I may decide to go up there today instead of tomorrow. However, I want to contact the guy in Madera regarding his tow truck, he only wants $1,750 for his, and it is basically the same as the '86. And a heck of a lot closer to boot. Just worried it will be a manual trans and not automatic, or the tags will not be current. Don't want any tickets when bringing it home.
Okay sure, I was going to do a CL check today also, maybe find a wheel lift truck close by, not my preferred kind, but thinking of my disability, would be much easier for me. Still love the flatbed type though, so I may just bite the bullet and get that.
Two of those are way too big. However, that yellow one is the one I am interested in. I will call him after 9am and see if it is still available, and if it is an automatic trans.
