Talking My new weed eater

I got a Stihl FS 56. Its a bad azz weed whacker. Its so much stronger than the Poulan Pro I had. It will cut 2 ft tall thick grass & weeds as fast as I can walk. I can't run it wide open for 3 more tanks of gas. It takes 5 tanks to break it in right. It will really cut then. I've been running it about 2 thirds rpm now. It never loads up at this speed. Great tool. 4 years of warranty also if you buy a 6 pack of mix oil with the tool. 2 years if you don't

I've been looking at one of those or maybe an Echo. I have gone through 3 Toros in 2 years and that's getting old (strange thing is that the old Ryobi I had lasted about 11 years). Only hold back is that I am so invested in TrimmerPlus or Expand-it or whatever they are called attachments, that going to something with proprietary attachments (if you get that model) will require me to start over.

Nearly everything uses the same attachments now. I have an ancient Ryobi and an old Poulan Pro, both use the same attachments.

I am using a Honda HHT35s, might have thought about Stihl for the versatility. The local tractor store mentioned the stihl motor being used on multiple attachments which would be sweet.

This is FTE though and we need pictures.

Echo, Stihl, and now Hitachi have proprietary attachments and do not work with the Ryobi style.

I have attachments from Ryobi, Craftsman, Poulan, Toro, and some others and they work on anything that takes the "trimmer plus" style. But they are not going to work on the Stihl.

I really want a Stihl or Echo, but I really don't want to start all over.

Main plus, Stihl is one manufacture where their gas powered tools offer a carb adjustment; whereas, majority of the other power lawn tool manufactures' the settings are preset and owners have no option other than take it to a shop, usually find these manufacturer's offer extended warranties and the downside is expect the equipment to be in the shop min. of couple weeks. Seem to recall neighbor having to take his Echo blower to shop because of Carb problem and he could not work on it and ended up taking to the shop; not sure with the Echo chain-saw?? IMO, Stihl is in best top 2-3 chainsaws.
