engine swap
Can anyone tell me if its possible to put a 7.3 ltr from a 1997 van in my 2004 f250.....6.0 has cost me my fair share and would like to swap, 7.3 was giving to me because body is smashed i know engine is good , runs and drives..... would appreciate anyone's comments!!!!!!!!!!!

different parts
I put a van 7.3 in my 96 f 450 and you will need some other parts like the motor mount tower was different and the manifold on the driver side were different and the oil pan I think there were a few other things just been a while ago.

sorry but no you cant do that swap. everything from the motor,trans, wire harness, fuel lines EVERYTHING is different. Since the 6.0 gave you problems and you obviously fixed them i HOPE you did the bullet proof upgrades at least? If you did you will never have anymore problems

Of course it is possible. It isn't practical, but if you have enough money it can be done. You'll need a new transmission, a complete wiring harness, a 7.3L computer, mounts, etc. I'll bet you could buy a brand new 2014 F-250 for less money than this would cost.
