I am wondering what type of bolt, what size, and how many are needed to bolt the bed down. My sister in law works at Fastenal, so I can get stuff cheaper than ordering a kit from DC or wherever.
The bolts are 1/2"-13 and a long bed takes 8. However, these are not standard carriage bolts (that's what you get when you order from LMC, waaaay overpriced).
The head is larger than the normal carraige bolt.
Dennis Carpenter's bolts are accurate, although all the same length. They have a larger head and the longer square shank.
The DC bed bolt is at the lower left in the picture
A carriage bolt head with Allen or Torx socket machined in is not original but makes tightening and removal easier... especially of the threads are a bit rusty or the square holes in the bed are rounded.

Actually, the Supercabs have a bolt like that for the bed, IIRC the left front has a torx head. Same for trucks with aux fuel tank.
