I agree that the stock Spicers are the best,
but these are the coolest looking...

Selecto's are the best. I'm running them on my Dana 60 and on my other truck with 44's. They were also called Power Train and Dualmatic. All steel innards and no plastic plus you can turn them with gloves on.

I have taken mine apart and greased/oiled them... still pretty darn hard to turn.

This man speaks the truth. Keep in mind that when you get some decent lock outs/drive slugs, your weak link will now be the stub shafts.

Maybe try a little less throttle

I must not be thinking of the same selectro's that you are.

My brand new selectro's that I was forced to buy had no steel in them at all and the engagement cam is plastic.

On the D44HD's definitely not

As for the standard D44 I believe so, but can't confirm... (ND?)
