The other day the wife's 01 expo, front blower motor took crapper.I called auto parts store and the guy had asked me am I sure its the motor, because there ate 3?,causes for it not to work.a relay under the hood, some kind of resister, may be behind the ac/heat control,or the blower motor itself.how would I isolate witch one is bad,or could it be something else.btw the rear air works.thanks all.
When you say say resistor switch you mean, the dial that tells speed of fan?all fuses are good.and you say or more,I don't like sound of that.ill try those out in morning, thanks

The resistor , grounds the motor , at different rates . The " switch" selects the rate . There is more to it than an on and off .
Can't really overlook anything if you test for power at the connector. One meter lead on the positive wire and one meter lead on the negative wire. Then turn on the ignition and blower switch and see what you get...if anything.
If I get no power to blower motor then where's the next best place to check.
Lots of places, the fuse, the switch, the wiring, the connectors, and the speed resistor. If the blower is original then it's 12 years old, so it's likely going to be the problem.
