Anyway back to my first question... i got some input ont he engine swap and i appreciat the information. with it ticking in the driver's side cylinder head, can i just get a new head for that side and call it good? I need my truck this weekend to tow a 5th wheel and I have a friend with a couple junked 5.0s im sure at least one has a good head.
Put one new head on your old 5.0 and call it good? If it's burning oil and/or has other issues, a new head isn't going to fix it.
Not to mention tht fact that you want to pull a 5th wheel with a 5.0...? It better not weigh much.
You could do a head swap, but like mentioned above, that won't help your cylinders that are shot and burning oil. Also... what exactly is ticking in the head? Pull the valve cover and look?

geez, 5.0 in a 250, bad idea, got one in the 94 150 and towed the car hauler 50 miles, used half a tank of gas and was in third the whole time except when going down the highway at any incline where it was in second... at 50 mph, hauled same trailer with same amount of wood with 92 f150 4.9, i like it much better, used less than 1/4 tank going same distance and going the same route only kicked out of overdrive 3 times, i can see why you would want a 351
I just bought a 94 Camaro, and the guy threw in 5.0 out of his foxbody got both for 2k, engine has 26k on it. what are the power differences in it compared to my 5.0? also will it bolt up to my tranny? the intake looks different.... will my computer work with it or should i take the one out of the stang?
