hello all. Been quite a while since I've been on the forum.
We are close to completeing the resto of the 66. Been a couple years in the making since we've battled bent frames to all sorts of other catastrophies.
We did have to cut short on this and have opted to not completely rebuild the bed. Time and funds have mede this decision necessary and I'm hoping I can get this question answered.
Finding a bed liner for a 66 is impossible so we have opted for a Tonneau cover.
Knowing the bed dimensions for the F100 are the same from 65-79, it's safe to say the Tonneau for a 73-79 should fit like a glove?
Need to know something asap so I can get the parts ordered.
Thanks for the help and hope to have some pics of the completed project in the next couple weeks.
I have an EXTANG on mine. If I remember correctly it was less than $300 and works great. Easy to put on and off. Only issue is in the winter it is harder to unsnap. More of an issue for me since I have the gas tank in the bed. It is a soft top and ******* manufacturing has a fiberglass one that I heard goes for around $1000.
I would love to opt into the fiberglass version but with that amount I could have rebuilt the bed. I ended up getting the Extang model too. Now to figure out how to make it white. Doohhh!!!
We're doing the two color scheme that has the white circling the bed, door window frames and hood but the remainder of the truck is red.
Similar to the picture below but my truck won't have all the chrome.
