79 start issue

79 start issue

New battery, starter clicks but dies not turn over. Starter looks brand new. Stickers still on it. Checked connections.

I would imagine about 90% of starter problems are due to a bad ground, or dirty connections elsewhere. Thats the first place to start.

Alright. I changed the solenoid and now the battery sparks when I tried to hook it up

you have power going to ground somewhere. retrace the steps to get to where you are now and you should find the problem
