well apparently i am not aloud to park my own truck on my own front lawn ha so i need to move it by tomorrow... any who.. i tried starting it, have a booster on it and the starter solonoid clicks and thats it... i used a jumper wire right to the starter with the key on and nothing... is my starter cooked? or is it froze up or something, because it is minus 30 outside haha
it should make some sort of noise should it not? ugh
Either there is a bad connection some where like in the battery cables or between the solenoid and starter or it`s a bad starter.
One other thing to consider is that if the 79`s battery is totally dead or frozen it can drain the boost so not enough amperage does gets to the starter.
Try boosting it directly on to the truck`s battery cables after unhooking it`s battery.
i own my property.. i lost the peice of paper but it said i have 3 days to move it, because according to city bylaws you are not aloud to park a vehicle on any part of your front yard other than a legal driveway...
first thing i did was phone the city about getting a driveway where the truck is lol i was thinking of doing that before anyways, so i phoned, the dude said he would phone back and confirm because he wasnt sure i had the correct space.. which im sure there is... but he hasnt phoned back... probably wont get a call back untill spring time...
i have a feeling some dumb neighbour is complaining... ive had lots of other parking problems before... ive gotten a ticket on 2 of my trucks for being on the street and beside my garage already... and a notice about my 5th wheel camper on my driveway... had to move it to the back yard...
must be moved within 24 hours... lol so bassically jump in and drive around the block, and park it again...
and the one for beside the garage i fought that, because i own like 3 or 4 feet (cant remember) of land beside the garage, but supposedly the truck is wider than that... and i had the truck TIGHT beside the garage...
i love our RM. i hate cities period. yorkton has the same bylaw. stupid how only certain people have to live by the law though. figure out who complained then start up the bad girl about 530 every morning and let 'er buck for a few minutes. squeaking wheel gets the grease right??
