Okay, I am getting old and I want a softer ride and some of the bells and whistles a newer truck can offer.
That being said, I want to put a 1960 Custom cab with a short bed on a newer frame, something that came stock with front disc brakes, power steering etc. I understand there will some modifying but what year would be the easiest?
I'm in the middle of putting my 57 on an s-10 frame. Lots of work! It actually fits pretty good, other than losing about 4" of bed depth. If you still have your original frame (I didn't) I would keep it.
The little things you have to change really start to add up. I'll probably start a build thread when I get a little further along. The guys who say it's easy must have access to great tools and be excellent fabricators!
