Metal saws
Here's one take on it:

I appreciate his stance on shielding the motor. Perhaps a sealed motor would be best. I use a plasma cutter. It's not restricted to straight lines and, with practice and good setup, can cut a line that's virtually ready for welding.
Evolution Steelsaw2 Raptor 14" Metal Cut Off Saw
A while back before I had my band saw I had to cut a bunch of 1/4" angle iron and all I had was my jig saw and sawsall. Both could do the job but they took a long time and went through blades. Just for the heck of it I bought a metal cutting blade for my 7-1/4" circular saw from the hardware store. It was only $7 so I figured I'd take a chance. It actually worked pretty good and lasted a long time, in fact it did all of the angle I needed to do and was still going strong. I've used only a few more times but the blade is still hanging on the wall.
You might be able to use one of these blades on your table saw but I'd sure hate to see what would happen if you get kick back like you when cutting wood on a table saw. Also if you are using a regular table saw I would suspect the metal dust could screw up the inner workings of the table saw.
