Frame had ZERO issues. No cracks, no rot, NOTHING. I think some of my issue is the airbags adding a pivot point Ford did not have in mind. They wanted the suspension to take up the bumps, the bags would not allow that to happen. Then add in a 1000lb engine in the front and you have a bent frame
As for the 2500lbs tongue weight. Empty trailer is over 1000lbs tongue weight. Then put a 7500lb truck on the trailer and I have 2500lbs tongue weight. Trailer weighs approx 5,200lbs and the truck weighs 7500lbs So I was grossing out at a lil over 20k
In that picture, it looks like the rear axle of the truck is right over top of the rear trailer axle... the trailer axles are really far back on the trailer = lots of tongue weight. Does it have a pintle hitch? Was it meant to be towed with a bigger truck?

alright i was wrong, my tractor doesnt weigh more than a diesel dually, and my trailer is prolly a little lighter, for some reason i seen a little bit of the truck and was thinking it was a ranger

Nor really far back at all. My front axle is back 14' from the pintle ring
I have an 18' dovetail 14k lb trailer. It has a 2 5/16 ball. tHERE IS A PIC OF IT in my gallery, I will try to put a link here.. I cant figure out how to put a pic here. Anyway, the axles sit further forward. I have hauled 2 idi srw trucks on it and you can control the tongue weight with how you load. I guess that trailer is designed to be pulled by a bigger truck that can handle that much tongue weight, thus the pintle hitch.

where is the frame bent Brad? right behind the cab? do you have a pic of the frame?
My trailer is 20' and there is not alot of room to maneuver a truck on it(the rear ramp limits how far back you can go). But my crewcab fits on it
My frame is bent between the bed and cab. There is no stress marked, cracks or visual bends, but tit is bent. In 2 week it goes to get the frame straightened. I have another frame that is getting donated to plate the original frame. I will be using approximately 8'. Sorry, not pics. Once I pull the bed,I will get some
