From my other post found it. What can be reused 27k and 2 yrs ago I did the heads, stand pipes, dummy plugs, etc all the upgrades. After having diesel in the coolant. I have removed the heads again. For reassembley I will have new head gaskets and exhaust gaskets, but will the two yr old stand pipe and dummy plugs work, as with the rocker box and valve cover gaskets, etc work? What should I replace? Thanks again!!
IMHO all you really need is the head gaskets, but new standpipes come in each head set. You shouldn't need to touch the dummy plugs. The rocker box, valve cover, intake (not donut) gaskets should be OK.

Thanks that was what I was thinking just wanted to make sure
I would put new rocker box seals,,, granted that they are prob good,,, but if they are not,, the studs have to be loosened to change........
My factory rocker box gaskets went through 4 head gasket changes and never leaked. The only reason I'm changing them now is because I'm changing rocker boxes.

So all of this is since we talked huh Brian?? CRAP!!!!
Yep after talking to you I pulled the intake off and the donut was toast posted it and cheezit said the only diesel would do that put some coolant kin a clear hub and you could see the fuel I hope to have the heads back by Friday and truck running by Saturday

So they're going to fix a head with a cracked fuel rail?

Apparently they fix them all the time. The machine shop pressure test them then send them out to a guy that has a method of sleeving the injector cups. I was over at BPD yesterday and they prefer doing that as opposed to getting new heads. Cost is 150.00 per cylinder which is cheaper than new heads. They say that not one has failed yet. Two years ago they installed hardened seats and surfaced the heads.

That's very interesting to know. He could probably retire fixing 6.0 heads--LOL.

I hear ya,,, but I feel there are other, easier places to save a 20 dollar bill (can't remember how much they are,, but I just bought the bed plate seals from the dealer,, $7).
What kept happening that caused 4 hg jobs??? Holy crap. I've got 740k and my heads have only been separated 3 times. And twice the hg's were not compromised.
No way I'd reuse that, even if the odds are 1000-1, the consequences are too great. It'd b a different story if it wasn't being separated from the head. That's my opinion,,, I will shut up now.

The first 3 were factory headbolts and extreme tuning. The 4th was heads that were cut way too much. During the first 150K we did a lot of parts beta testing on things that you can buy "off the shelf" now.
