Unhappy leaky head gasket?

ok,
first let me say that I know that I am asking a lot of questions. I promise that as I become more familier with my new toy, I will contribute as much as I am asking. :-)

Right before I bought the truck they had replaced the valve cover gaskets. I am getting some smokeing off of the engine as it warms up. It looks to me like oil dripping from around the spark plugs or the plug wires. I pulled the wires off, and it does not appear to actually be comming from there. I am wondering if this is where oil from the head gasket would be showing up?

I have no clue, I am just guessing as this is not something that I know alot about.

Does it sound like I am on the right track, or way off base?

assuming that it is a head gasket....how high is the PITA factor there? does not look like it would be too hard to get too....but not a one hour job either...

Thanks again!!!

my gues is its still a valve cover gasket, if it were a head gasket it would have to leak up to get to the spark plugs. just because the say they put new VC gaskets on dont mean they didnt pinc one or over tighten them. DW

ok,
guess I did not think about that.
the spark plugs are in the head, not under it...lol

I will look more carefully and see what I can see.

I will assume that valve cover gaskets are pretty easy?
Thanks.

Lots to do on this ole truck.
but that is why I bought it.

I will get some pics up tomorrow
