That is the only place the coolant and fuel are close to one another, injector cups are another source but I have seen some say that the only way to get fuel in the coolant is a cracked head.
Is there a way to test or just reassemble and see if happens again. I hate to pull the heads if I do not have to. Like I said before I flushed it pretty good before disassemble, then again after reassemble, then after about 10k did a reverse flush. So I don't see how it could be leftover from head job. Thanks.
I did catch some of the coolant that was left and here is a picture. My guess is the dark brown on top is fuel. So from the consensus the only way for this to happen is cracked head or left over from previous repair. And I do not think it is left over.
The only other thing I can think of is a soap flush to
remove any residue. If it comes back after that........
I don't know but what about putting some pressure to the fuel line
and see if it will hold.????.. Would that work.

do not know. I have a trip planned for Labor day. That I do not want to miss. So I am thinking about reassembly and when it is cooler here pulling the heads. I just do not want to pull them if I do not have to.
He also said deltas went futher apart with new Heads on POST #3
I had B and B machine (that is who does BPD's machine work) do the heads two years ago when I did the head gaskets. and after reassembly my delta was 3 degrees and now it is up to 11 degrees.
Just go off the phone with auto nation and they have heads for 988.00 ea includes bolts, gaskets, standpipes, dummy plugs. Does anybody know of a better place to purchase 6.0 heads, Most important is quality heads I do not want to do this again.

That's as cheap as I could find new heads. The only alternative is getting your local dealer to price match that price to save the shipping, which is between $100 & $200.
A little bit it is a different smell, which I guess is the two items mixed.
If it's diesel, wouldn't you be able to smell it really strong? If you don't and only smell a slight hint, then it's probably oil as big inch said. Wait for experts to respond, but when my fuel pressure regulator housing was leaking I could smell strong diesel smell. Open that jug of coolant/diesel mix you posted above and smell it. It should be strong. Just my opinion.
Just go home from Bullet Proof Diesel and B & B Machine. bpd said they have seen new and or reman heads with cracks right out of the box. Their recommendation is to have the heads repaired and the have never had a repaired head fail due to the repair. B&B said it would not be that much to repair due to the fact the valve job has already been done to them. and would only take 2 to 3 days. So I think its out to the garage to pull the heads I hope to have them at B&B by3 or 4 today maybe have them back by Friday.
