My camper special had both tanks from the factory. PO removed in cab tank and the switch valve years ago. He put the hose that leaked air there to bypass the valve. I found it by blowing air into fuel line by the mechanical pump. Then heard air and gas dribbling out...

I ordered the summit brand black pump , pretty much the Holley black minus $60.
put the pump in and my pressure regulator gauge went to 15psi so had to crank it down to 7psi .
glass fuel filter has the typical air pocket in top corner but gone are the little air bubbles coming from the inlet hose.
took her out for the test drive and all is smooth again no bog down .
while i was at it I installed the Lokar trans kick down cable kit . i got 2 weeks ago. The Lokar kick down cable is a great product , very easy to install .
I'm thinking about ordering that kickdown cable too but haven't decided on it. Glad to hear you're happy with it. maybe I ought to go ahead and order one.
mid grade gas , no pings yet . even with the 3.25 she'll roast the tires till i let up .
My dad was out a few months ago I punched it at a light and manually shifted 1st 2nd 3rd then let up . my dad couldn't believe a big old truck could do it . he was smiling (old 50s hot rodder )
