Hard shifting into reverse, 2nd-3rd
Just picked up a 95 F150 351w e40d, engine runs like a dream but the tranny is giving me serious issues...When shifting in general it has a delay, when shifting mainly into reverse and from 2nd to 3rd, it really jerks...Fluid is topped up, not fresh but it still has a red tinge to it and doesn`t seem burnt...Have come across other`s similiar problems and have found the MLP sensor is a common problem as well as cleaning up all related sensors....I haven`t found anyone with the exact problem I`m having so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction...Thanks

Never ignore the obvious. I'm sure you have seen it stated many times, if indeed you searched this forum: Check for codes..
Warm up the engine then do this: Fuel Injection Technical Library » How To Run a Self-Test (Your truck will display three digit codes.
Or purchase a code reader like the Equus 3145.
