There is a very obvious difference in quality. The casting on the set I have here looks like swiss cheese compared to Int'l or Ford quality. I chose not to put them on, but I'd make you a good deal on them if I've waited to long to send them back!
With the T4 set-up, I never have to fool with the PITA 'babies butt' again!!! Cost for T4/S366 comparable to 'good', coated bellowed up-pipes and a 38R - but the options for future turbo upgrades are unlimited (and the S366 is rebuildable, not 'disposable' like 38R...
Hey Jason. I might be interested in the up pipes if you decide to sell them. Just holler and let me know pretty quick as this is next on my to do list.
I had seen a few sets before the set that i just put on TXtinct...
As a machinist... where quality control & metal are my job... i have no issues with casting quality. Look at the machined faces... no pitting.
Does that mean the castings have had weld repairs in those areas? I just saw these and decided given the regions reputation for poor quality metals, I didn't wanna use them...
Maybe I'm just picky??
This image would have come to my mind every time I heard an odd noise:
And, this is just tooooo cool. Thanks again Santa!
I don't think anyone is trying to compare that AWESOME T4 kit with the Dorman up-pipes, Jason! LOL! If I had the money (and I don't), I'd have a T4 kit on the Excursion.

Lol. I know, really. I just had both of these things at the same time and decided I would PARK one of the PSD's before I put those dormat pipes on one...
The photos you posted have pitting in the collector that mine certainly did not have. QA at the Chinese facility was obviously lacking the day those got sent out!

X2 on this.
That does look like some pretty nasty pitting on that set.. none of the other sets i have seen were like that.

Those kids work hard, ya know? Could have been poured at the end of a 16hr shift after weeks of working 7 days/week at the foundry. They were gonna fix the fan at his workstation, but all it does is blow hot air around anyway - so he stopped asking... Ya gotta cut him some slack considering the sacrifices he makes so we can buy $200 up-pipes!
The set I installed looked nothing like that. Matter of fact, you could probably lay the 2 (Dorman and IH) side by side and have a hard time telling them apart aside from the China cast into the Dorman collector.
